“The Fujian Wireless City Industry Cooperation Conference – Intelligent Digital Fujian and Winning the Future Together” was Held in Fuzhou

On the morning of December 23, 2011, “The Fujian Wireless City Industry Cooperation Conference – Intelligent Digital Fujian and Winning the Future Together” organized by China Mobile (Fujian) and China Mobile Labs, supported by FUNO, was Held in Fuzhou. Zhang Li, Vice General Manager of Fujian Mobile and President of FUNO attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Attendees also included leaders from China Mobile Labs, Fujian Mobile, management from FUNO and project leaders and team members. 

At the meeting, General Manager Zhang introduced that the main objective of this industry cooperation meeting is to enable industry chain partners to further understand the prospect of Fujian wireless city development and OMP platform structure,  attract more partners to participate and share the rapid achievements of wireless cities. Mr. Zhang pointed out that in the next stage, we will stick to the concept of openness, cooperation and win-win, actively offer the wide open platform of cloud, net and terminal for partners, continuously enhance the value of industry chain, enlarge industry scale and finally build the industry federation based on wireless integration platform. 

As the undertaker of this meeting and subsidiary of Fujian Mobile, FUNO underwent a large amount of preliminary preparatory work for the meeting, finished the work of system integration, platform development, application connection and supplier coordination for OMP platform construction, offered strong and effective technology support for wireless city scale construction and application and invested multitudes of personnel and facilities to assist Fujian Mobile’s plan to promote Fujian wireless city construction and forge the new city life of the regions to the west of the Taiwan Strait. At the meeting, Liu Weijie from FUNO Information Service Department, introduced one “Benefits Package Service” solution based on OMP platform operation developed by FUNO, which is centered on the mobile phone terminal application of geographical position and coupon and can offer automatic discovery and pushing service based on geographical position to customers.   Miao Xiangzhen from FUNO Information Service Department introduced at the meeting the development experience of Hand-set Taxi, which is one wireless city application integrating the position capability and taxi service. It is able to offer the functions of adjacent taxi inquiry, DIY booking, real-time taxi-calling, route-inquiry and car information inquiry for mobile phone subscribers, thus relieving the aching personal transportation problem.

In the future, OMP will act as the core platform for Fujian’s wireless city application innovation to offer developers the one-stop service of capability development, application development and application trusteeship; at the same time, FUNO will increase the investment in high-end application development and OMP platform development, continuously enhance the information service technology support ability, promote Fujian Mobile’s Fujian wireless city development plan, accelerate the commercial application progress of wireless city project and push Fujian’s informatization construction into a new stage.
